No. Your images and camera video are scanned on your device and never leave it.

If the code contains a web link, only that link is sent to us so we can check it for known threats. Everything else, like text or Wi-Fi passwords, stays on your device.

Yes. Choose Photo and select the screenshot. On a computer, you can also drag it onto this page or paste it. Photos and downloaded images work too, as long as the whole code is visible.

Your browser needs permission to use the camera. If you blocked camera access earlier, allow it for this site in your browser settings, then reload the page.

Make sure no other app or tab is using the camera. If it still does not work, you can scan a photo of the code instead.

Before you open a link, we check it against lists of known phishing and malware sites and look for signs of a fake address. Known threats are blocked. If a link looks suspicious, we warn you and let you decide.

No check can catch everything, so be careful, especially if a page asks you to sign in or pay.
